Bio

I am a vet tech assistant, aspiring zookeeper and artist.

Growing up with an interest in taking care of animals and becoming an artist in my free time, I've had the opportunity to grow and harness my skills as an animal caretaker. Growing up with an interest in taking care of animals and becoming an artist in my free time, I've had the opportunity to grow and harness my skills as an animal caretaker. But in doing so, meant putting my art on the back burner. I want students to realize that they should go for their dreams and with enough encouragement and hard work, they soon will see their own opportunities expand. Quoting Walt E. Disney, "Keep moving forward", I hope to give the same support to the students as I received growing up. Imagination and color is important in a world where it can easily be forgotten.

One of my goals is to challenge the students to push themselves in their abilities but not to overwhelm them. I may include assignments that will correlate with that day's lesson. This will allow students to continue practicing their abilities to advance.

With my past experience as an education counselor at the Louisville Zoo, I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge with those that were interested. This also included the opportunities for the students to practice what they learned through discussions, arts and crafts, animal contact time, etc.

With my love of art, I will be able to help students see where their interests are and how they can expand on them. I will draw or paint alongside the students to help give them techniques that will allow them to find what works best for them.

I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your endeavors as an aspiring artist.
