About Nicholas

I have a degree in Mathematics from Bethel College, and I have taught high school algebra in the past. I currently work as an actuary and enjoy tutoring students in mathematics. I have spent time volunteering as a math tutor for a program in South Louisville and also for a community college program to get students up to basic college level math.

I find that by working one on one with students we can focus on specific problems they are having with understanding the material. The tutoring environment is also great because it doesn't have the pressure of being graded on their work. It doesn't count against them if they make mistakes because they are necessary to learn what to do.

Please contact me to schedule your next tutoring student to help prepare for a test, or get general help to catch up with your peers.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
