I'm an experienced teacher who has worked in Japan, Brazil and China. I am very comfortable with native and non-native English speakers. I've taught elementary curriculum and art, art history, history and language through college level. I think that education should be challenging and enjoyable-elements that I include in all my lessons. Learning is creative; my lessons include elements that make education fun and rewarding.
I have a teaching credential, valid for life, in Art and Humanities. I have taught all elementary grades, and high school and college. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
