I'm a native Spanish speaker and I've always loved to teach Spanish as a foreign language. Even though I graduated as a Medical Doctor in 2005, I’ve always worked as a Spanish Teacher/Tutor, so I've got a great experience doing it. In 2006, I got a Master’s Degree in Spanish Language from University of Havana, Cuba, then I began to teach Spanish as a Foreign language in the Havana National Languages School, where I taught Spanish to Brazilian, Canadian, and English Students, for four years. In 2010, I got a job as a Spanish tutor in Merida City, Venezuela, in the Institute of Spanish Language of Merida, teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language to German and English Students. I worked there for three years, and in 2013, I got a special award as “Tutor of the Year” by the Dean of that Institute. More recently, I’ve got certified as a Spanish Teacher from the Cervantes Institute, Salamanca, Spain, in October, 2014.
Why to learn Spanish?
Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world; more than 350 million people speak Spanish as a mother tongue. The demand to learn Spanish has doubled in the last 10 years.
In 15 years there will be 500 million Spanish speakers in the world. There are more than 30 million Spanish speakers in the USA and it is still growing. Every year more than 55 million tourists visit Spain.
Tutorial method is statistically the best way to learn a foreign language, and the results are greater if the tutor is a native speaker of the learned language. My method consists of an increasing development of assertive communication skills in Spanish language. The student will be related with the language since the first meeting, beginning by simple phrases of initial and basic communication, ending by the amazing richness of Spanish verbs and their conjugations. A whole program will be based on the easiest and most comfortable way to learn Spanish. The course I offer uses either the private tutoring method or the group method of learning. Beginning with a knowledge level test, I will place the student in one out of six levels of language knowledge, and then the course will start at the exact point according to the student needs.
The learning levels are:
A1- Initial, A2- Elemental, B1- Intermediate, B2- Advanced, C1- Low Superior, C2- High Superior.
With each tutorial class, the student will develop five main capacities, which are: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, oral interaction, oral expression and written expression.
I also offer online Classes over Skype.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in being fluent in Spanish.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
