About Clinton

I love teaching and I especially love teaching Spanish. As a Spanish major in college I participated in two study abroad programs. One was in Mexico, where I lived with a Mexican family for five weeks. The other was in Panama City, Panama with the University of Louisville. So, I am familiar with both Mexican dialect and Central American dialects.

I taught high school for four years and have tutored elementary age kids privately. I try to only speak Spanish during a lesson. Some other methods I use are conversations, music and the arts, vocabulary-building games and listening comprehension.

I am passionate about the language and teaching it. I also enjoy children of all ages. I consider myself to be patient and understanding, therefore the ideal tutor for your student.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Criminal Justice

I have a bachelor's degree in Justice Administration from the University of Louisville. My studies included policing, corrections, the courts and juvenile justice. I tutored other students while I was in college. I read and follow current events around the legal system in my free time.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have two bachelor's degrees from University of Louisville. I graduated from Saint Xavier High School with a 3.5 GPA. I taught Spanish, Humanities, Criminal Justice and Technology for four years at Holy Cross High School. I have tutored kids of all ages in many subjects including elementary and high school math and reading.
