About Scott

I have taught 9th grade English for the past 14 years. I also have taught 11th grade English as well. I'm currently teaching 9th and 11th grade at West Jessamine High School.
I'm also going to teach a sports writing class next year.
I have an undergraduate degree in Journalism. The sequence is News-Editorial. I have a Bachelor's in Education. I also have a Master's in Secondary Education.

I have been writing creatively for the past 24 years, in hopes of one day getting a screenplay published.

I played countless sports during my youth. I also worked at a fitness club several years ago.

I believe I can genuinely help students further their education in a variety of areas.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
