Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be a math teacher. In the summer when the other kids played house, I was the school teacher. I even had little math workbook pages I had them work when they came to school. In college I carefully studied how my teachers taught and used the best of all techniques when I started teaching as a graduate student at age 19. Yes 19. Yes 19. I was one of the kids who went to college early and finished graduate school by age 21 with a degree in math. I also have master's degrees in computer science, and Instructional Systems Design. That is about designing learning experiences.

Many of my former students (including my husband of 10 years) say I can explain math in a way they could learn it. I am confident I can do that for you. I have over 30 years of teaching adults in the college classroom including 6 years teaching online. I also have tutored online for 5 years for an online only college. If you want to learn how to do it then I can teach you. The key to math is to practice and have an open mind about learning it. Remember that each topic in math builds on a previous lessons so you want to work with a tutor as soon as you see you are having difficulty. This will make it easier for you to stay current and possibly exceed your expectations.

I love talking about math, probability, and statistics and how they work. I can provide step by step work to show you how to complete a solution and in most cases check to see if your work is correct. I prefer to tutor online through one of several platforms. It just requires that you have a headset. We can also exchange notes via email if you would like.

I hope you would like to learn how to do math for your course work. It is an important part of the world we live in and the future jobs you will hold. Please contact me for more information on how you can be successful in math!
