With a B.A., M.A., Ph.D. coursework, and 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring Spanish at the university level, language tutoring is what I do most. SPANISH:
After years of teaching in college and private classrooms, I know what it takes for you to get where you want to be with your language studies. At our first lesson, we will determine exactly where you want to go with your language: Are you working towards a test? Just looking to speak conversationally? Planning to travel (someday!)? Taking a class? Once we know exactly what you want, we can focus on what's most relevant--grammar for those who are testing and in classes, proficiency for conversation including a large vocabulary and basic grammar, or specialized vocabulary for the workplace, traveler or corporate client.

Individual tutoring:
Once needs are assessed, I help students determine the right material to use, whether it is a workbook, their current textbook or material of my own. I also utilize media including music and videos to help create a more dynamic tutoring environment.

Small groups:
I love tutoring in small groups, and can negotiate the hourly rate per student for larger students. Having accountability and partners who share your goals is helpful and can make classes more playful and fun.

Corporate classes:
Lunch and learns and corporate classes are my specialty. I will meet with your representative to find out your goals (travel, specific vocabulary, general proficiency), and develop appropriate materials to help your employees or clients achieve success, improve business, and increase moral.
