Bowling Green State University (Master's)
I just recently graduated from Bowling Green with my Masters in French specializing in pop culture and I am ready to help you learn a second language. It is my goal to become a French teacher for the public school system so it is safe to tell you that I plan to be certified by the next year.
I have three years of experience when it comes to actually teaching in a classroom setting, two years abroad in France, teaching English in a middle school and high school and one year at the university level. I am ready to teach anything from basic beginner level to advanced and I can focus on any area that needs attention: reading, writing, or just conversational skills.
I have studied the French language for 8 years and it is a passion for me so I look forward to using it on a daily basis. For those who are searching for a beginner level tutor, I will start off by giving you worksheets and charts that I will personally assist you in filling out and by week 6 or 7, you will start using complete sentences in the language. By week 12, we will no longer use English during our sessions (except for when it comes to explaining conceptual ideas) and I guarantee you that you use whatever skills you acquire from me in the future.
I believe that learning a second language not only helps you communicate with others but will help you in whatever project you may take on in the future. The skills will assist you in analytical skills and understanding world news.
If you have any further questions about my methods or what you may learn from me, please do not hesitate to contact me. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
