I believe in working with each student at the level they are comfortable with, and then building on that success to improve math abilities. Every child is capable of being mathematically successful. If your child is advanced and needs to be challenged, I would be happy to work with him. I would like to help your child with primary math, pre-algebra, algebra 1 or algebra 2.

I really enjoy math and I enjoy helping children learn. I am also very patient and am happy to explain concepts and work examples as needed.

I am a home school mother of three who has taught kindergarten through 12 grade. My oldest child was a National Merit Scholar finalist in 2015 and graduated from high school. All three of my children tested as gifted in 7th grade by the DUKE TIP. I have a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Ga Tech and I love math. I am very patient and I enjoy children. I believe every child can be successful and confident in math.

I am a mother of three and have home schooled each child from kindergarten, with the oldest graduating in 2015. My oldest child was a National Merit Scholar Finalist in 2015 and all three of my children achieved gifted status through standardized testing by DUKE TIP when they were each in 7th grade. I teach reading by a combination of phonics and sight words. I am very patient and love kids. Short vowel words are mastered first and sight words are gradually memorized. Then long vowel words, digraphs, and diphthongs are learned. Reading comprehension is assessed as the process becomes smoother, beginning with simple comprehension questions. I have a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Ga Tech and I enjoy children.

Superb math tutor for my elementary/middle school children.

Karen has taken my children through mid elementary and middle school mathematics, up to algebra and beyond. She is very patient, and can explain concepts to children in multiple ways so that they really understand, and therefore retain, the information. She has been particularly good with my somewhat timid middle schooler, and can walk her through concepts so that she is not overfaced or frustrated. I cannot recommend Karen more highly.
