I moved to the states from China in 2008, and proudly became a U.S. Citizen five years later. With my strong math education background in my original country, I wanted to become a math instructor in this new-to-me country, so I've been spending almost six years to equip myself with math related teaching skills. I moved to the states from China in 2008, and proudly became a U.S. Citizen five years later. With my strong math education background in my original country, I wanted to become a math instructor in this new-to-me country, so I've been spending almost six years to equip myself with math related teaching skills. I've earned my AS degree at ECTC, a BA degree at WKU, and am expecting an MS degree from WKU in May 2015.
While seeking the degrees, I also take any opportunity to tutor or teach math. Working as a graduate assistant in these two years, I assisted in the instruction of Calculus I & II classes, and have been teaching college algebra independently. While I was an undergraduate student, I worked in the university math lab tutoring trigonometry, general math courses, or even higher level math courses that I have taken myself. With all the experiences and the knowledge I've gained through these years, I'm ready to fulfill my dream, helping the U. S. students to study math.
