Teaching is an incredibly important part of my life. In my student teaching I got to work with both middle and high school aged kids, and had a blast with each student I had (no, really!!). Now, I am working as a middle school teacher for 6th and 7th grade kids, but I am more than happy to teach any aged kid!
In my degree field, reading and writing were both incredibly important to study. Not only did I learn awesome tips for social studies and history, but also strategies to make students better readers and writers. I performed well on my own ACT, and want to help other students do the same.
History is where my true passion lies. My degree is and teaching experience has nearly all been about teaching social studies. Not only do I enjoy teaching cool history and social studies facts, but the strategies that make someone a better historian! As a tutor and teacher, my main goal is to help students understand themes and strategies that will make the rest of school easier for them.
As a teacher, I am free all summer and most weekends and weeknights to tutor. So don't be afraid to contact me!
