I was born on the great plains of Kansas. I have also traveled to the majority of the lower 48 states. My first formal photography class was at Arkansas City High where I started shooting for the student newspaper and yearbook my junior year of high school. After high school photography simply became a hobby of mine.
On my days off I am known to load up my camera gear and hit the road by myself on what I call “photo safaris."
With support and encouragement from my family and friends I decided to pursue photography as a career. In 2008 I selected a reputable college in North Carolina to study photography.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been shooting as a professional for over seven years. I have earned an Associate of Applied Science in Commercial Photography from Randolph Community College in Asheboro, North Carolina. I worked for one of the nations largest commercial photographic studios shooting images for the world's second largest retailer, The Home Depot, and for Martha Stewart Living. My shots are published weekly in the Home Depot advertisements inserted into Sunday papers. I am a certified Master Craftsman from Canon USA, and have won several awards throughout my career.
