I've taught English, ESL/ESOL, and German at every level from middle school to college and to independent adult learners. Language learning is one of my passions as I enjoy traveling and interacting with many peoples and cultures around the world.

I've taught for over thirty years at the high school level and have been privileged to teach ELA (English Language Arts) as well as ESOL and German 1-4. I'm well-versed in typical reading and writing assignments at the high school and university level. I can help with style conventions, grammar, and organization if writing is your focus. I've spent many years teaching American and World literature and have taught almost all works that are commonly read at the middle, high, and college level. I've also spent many years teaching German and am currently working as a German teacher, teaching language and literature.

I am well-versed in classics of American literature and well as staples of YA Lit and World Lit. If it's been assigned to you in an English or literature class, I've most likely read it and may have also taught it. I can help you navigate the reading and the literary analysis. I've also taught writing at many levels; I understand the grammar of English and can help with organizing and developing composition or simply with proofreading. I've used all of these skills in teaching students who are native speakers of English as well as in teaching students of English as a Second Language.
