My name is Stepfon. I am 26 years old and live in Topeka, Ks. I work at Meadows Elementary School where I have been a para-educator since 2010. I am responsible for assisting in lesson planning, teaching lessons, and running groups where I work with students. I have a lot of experience teaching and working with students to improve their education. I also run a tutoring business where I tutor students at the local library. I have been tutoring for over a year now.
I love teaching, it's always been a passion of mine. I love working with students because I get to watch them learn. Watching their faces light up when they finally understand a difficult concept makes it worth the effort. I have no problem helping anyone learn who has the desire to learn. Education is the most important thing you will accomplish in your life and I want to help people achieve that.
Took honors physical science, physics, astronomy, and chemistry. Took honors and A.P. biology in high school. I am currently getting certified to teach science in middle school.
My concentration at Washburn University is English. I will be certified to teach English once I graduate. i am a avid reader and love to write.
I have worked at Meadows Elementary School for five years now. I have experience working with students that range from gifted to special needs. I am a Distinguished Staff Award winner for my excellent service of education. Currently getting my degree in elementary education.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am currently a student at Washburn university where I am majoring in Elementary Education. I have worked at an elementary school for five years where I am an award winning para-educator. (Distinguished Staff Award-the highest most prestigious award given in the school district). I was in the gifted program from 1st grade until I graduated high school. I have experience teaching students in a variety of subjects like math, science, history, reading, writing, grammar, spelling, and other activities.
