I'm more than proficient with Geometry and Algebra 1 and 2. I'm also proficient with AP Chemistry/General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry 1 and College Algebra.
In the last two years, I received a score of 188 out of 200 on the Chemistry Praxis exam (for teaching high school Chemistry). I also received A's in General Chem, Analytical Chem, and Organic Chem 1 and 2.
In high school, math was my favorite subject. I started my freshman year taking Honors Algebra 2 and graduated from Blue Valley Southwest with college credit for Statistics, College Algebra, and Applied Calculus. I received a total of 27 college credit hours from JCCC in the Dual-Credit program, making Presidents List as a high school senior. I received nearly perfect test scores in College Algebra and A's on every Applied Calculus exam. I completed my second year of college at K-State before taking a 5-year intermission from academics serving in the Army as a helicopter mechanic. I resumed working on my bachelor's degree in May 2020 at UMKC. Since then, I have practically mastered high school Geometry and Algebra 2 while substitute teaching and tutoring for these subjects.
I have decided to pursue a career in teaching Math and Chemistry. In August, I will begin graduate school for a Master's degree in teaching.
