As a former traditional commercial advertising photographer (film), I transitioned to digital photography when that medium was in its infancy. Having been an early adopter of Adobe Photoshop on Apple Macintosh computers, my skills and experience became a valued and sought out resource in helping others transition from analog to digital imaging. It was an unplanned transition into teaching, and one I discovered I had a passion for!
I have taught photography and Photoshop, both independently and in Universities from Connecticut, Boston, and New York to the Kansas, and Missouri area where I am now located. While working as a Senior Photo Retoucher for Hallmark Cards I became an Adobe Certified Instructor in Creative Suite 2 and have maintained certification throughout all subsequent versions.

Michael is very knowledgeable in Photoshop. He went at a pace that I could understand and explained the subject very clearly. Answered any questions quickly. I would definitely recommend him in any of your Photoshop needs no matter what level of experience you have.
Michael is helping me get all I can from my apple devices and transitioning from a PC to a MAC.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have worked professionally with Apple computers since 1994 and have been employed part-time by Apple Inc. since 2006 as an Apple specialist. In that position I guide customers to the best solution for their needs at The Apple Store. I offer in-store workshops, and as a certified small device technician, I diagnose and resolve customer issues with their iPhones, iPads, and iPods.
In 1988 I graduated from The Rhode Island School of photography in the top 15% of my class. I went to work immediately in the photography field, starting out as a studio assistant and by 1989 I was offered a position as a studio photographer at May Company's G. Fox Department Store. As a commercial photographer I have had experience photographing everything from clothing, electronics, and jewelry, to architecture and people. I have provided photography for Ethan Allen Furniture, Bic Pens, Black & Decker Household Products and Timex, to name a few. Since transitioning to Photoshop retouching, I work regularly for clients such as Hallmark Cards, AMC Theaters, Southwest Airlines, and Turning Stone Resorts and Casinos.
