This is my first year teaching and I joined a first grade team. My current position has allowed me to develop and practice teaching strategies for phonics and foundational reading skills. I have enjoyed working with students to build routines and expected strategies for their learning activities. This year I have been using a variety of visual, auditory, tactile, and technological opportunities to expose students to as many words and examples as possible.
The tutoring I was able to do in college led me to Wyzant and I look forward to working with students to help them learn!
