I love teaching and exploring new information with anyone seeking guidance. I have tutored throughout both high school and college in a variety of subjects - primarily Spanish and English. I have a unique approach to tutoring because I do my best to make sure it's not bland in any way. Learning can absolutely be both fun and informative and I strive to create this environment whenever I tutor. My goal is to build a rapport and strong relationship with the student and to ensure they become independent and self-confident.
I excelled in both English and Spanish throughout school as I was always in advanced placement classes. I frequently helped my classmates and friends with their papers, essays and other assignments. I also took multiple bible classes throughout college and have a certification in biblical studies from Ames International School of Ministry. I took 5 years of Spanish in high school and took the most advanced Spanish class available in college. I have also been to Mexico 6 times for a few weeks at a time and El Salvador once. These experiences have enabled me to be immersed in the Spanish language and helped me become fluent. I worked for several years as a bilingual sales representative and used Spanish daily with customers.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I was educated in biblical studies throughout my year as a student at MidAmerica Nazarene University. I also am actively involved in my youth group and teach a Sunday School class in addition to conducting a small group bible study on a weekly basis. I also attended Ames International School of Ministry and received a certification in Biblical Studies.
I have experience for several seasons coaching a softball team. This includes running drills and practicing mechanics to improve performance both offensively and defensively. I am passionate about the game of baseball and have studied both sabermetrics and the mechanics of hitting in addition to having an understanding of the fundamentals of the game.
