I have been teaching college since 1997 and substitute teaching grades K-12 since 1995. My degrees are in Anthropology (Social Studies in K-12), Art History and Religious Studies. I commonly tutor my college students and those that seek help do significantly better on their exams.
Personally, I love helping people and watching them develop a new self confidence when the material is presented in a way that resonates with them. I have received excellent feedback from my students so far.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
