I have been a science teacher for over 25 years. I have loved science since I was a boy, and I have always enjoyed helping others to appreciate science the way I do. That is why I became a teacher in the first place. When someone has knowledge of science, they are able to understand how the world around them works. They learn to find value in all that surrounds them. I find nothing more gratifying than the experience of having a student express his/her understanding of the material.
I have been a chemistry and physics teacher throughout my career. These are the two subjects I have loved the most myself, and I have became passionate about teaching them. When I tutor I like to assess the student’s specific needs whether it is solving word problems, applying equations, or grasping concepts. The one-to-one individual tutoring allows for a stronger connection between teacher and student; this is more conducive to helping a student with needs beyond the traditional classroom.

After several lessons now my daughter feels more comfortable and confident in class instead of feeling lost. Frank's method of tutoring is a big help. I look forward to seeing my daughter's chemistry grade improve.
Frank reviewed homework packets in AP Chem with my son and when my son returned from school he was disappointed as many of the answers were wrong. He felt the tutor had a basic knowledge of the subject but not in depth. Also, was supposed to be an hour session and he kept going for 2 hours and charge $120.00. We feel we should be refunded everything as he did not teach the information correctly. Also, Frank seems somewhat aloof and had a weird affect and did not communicate with us. Overall, would NOT recommend.
Frank helped my daughter with college level chemistry. He reviewed exams that she performed poorly on. Now she understands the work.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have my bachelor's degree in chemistry from Fordham University. I have taught chemistry at regents and non-regents level.
I have been teaching physics for the past 11 years at both honors and non-honors levels. I am certified in NJ for physical science (chemistry and physics).
