Hello! My name is Lyndsey B. and I graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelors degree in Political Science, and a minor in Women's studies. I am currently attending the University of Kansas to obtain my second Bachelors degree in Mathematics.
I worked as a Special Education Para for the past 3 years. I was able to get tutoring experience at the high school level while working with my students. My subject focus as a para was math. I feel working with Special Needs children has helped teach me how to become a better tutor, how to understand how people learn differently.
I was able to have 3 years of re-teaching math to special needs students. It allowed me to learn how to re-teach each lesson.
While I was in high school I was involved with debate and forensics, so I was able to learn how to speak in front of others. While I was a para I worked in the public speaking classes as well as helped out with the forensics team. I also have been judging debate/forensics for the past 8 years.
I worked with Special needs children for the past 3 years. I was able to learn how to work with students with certain disabilities and learn different ways to teach them.
