Masters in TESOL and a middle school math and English tutor

Hi. I'm Kelly. I have worked in education for almost 10 years in several different capacities. I really enjoy being able to help and encourage students with personal tutoring that is crafted individually to the student. I have tutored high school students, college students, and adults primarily in English and Math. I taught English in a university for two years in China. I studied marketing in college, but I have my Master's degree in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages. (TESOL)
My most recent experience has been a paraeducator for English Language Learners in a middle school. This position has required me to have a wide range of knowledge in math, English, science and social studies at the middle school level. My colleagues at the middle school have trusted me in helping teach the material to students in small groups. I really enjoy helping all students in new and different ways until they are able to understand the new concepts.

I have helped students in Algebra and Prealgrebra classroom for the past four years working at a middle school. I have additionally tutored students at the middle school after school in a group setting. The other tutors at the school would direct students needing assistance in math to me.

Teaching English to nonnative English speakers is my passion. I have taught and tutored a wide range of students for the past 10 years. I earned 4.0 GPA while earning my Masters in TESOL.
