I have helped students in Biology, Biochemistry, Physiology and Microbiology. I have taught Human Anatomy and Physiology at college level for 5 years.
I can also teach General Chemistry.

As a biologist, my teaching and research philosophy incorporates a realization that students in beginning science classes present with a variety of cultural, socioeconomic, demographic, ethnic, and motivational backgrounds. I also realize that students have varying academic goals. Therefore, I use a pedagogical approach that fosters a positive environment and that shows students signposts and landmarks to the different paths student careers will take. My own follow-up on students who have taken my classes suggests that my teaching strategy has been pretty effectual.

I earnestly believe that learning takes place best under conditions that offer positive reinforcement and facilitate enhanced teacher-student and student-student interactions. Thus, my lectures cater to the needs of different individuals with different majors.

For example, I tailor my lectures and laboratory discussions by using analogies that students from a variety of cultural, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds could apprehend. In order to facilitate student learning, I encourage independent efforts by individual students to use the internet and read journals in such a way that they might see the difference between information and knowledge.

In my pedagogical approach, I facilitate group assignments, use take-home exams, and hone in on key concepts in class lectures, where students would occasionally share the lectern, so that students do not get disenchanted by the enormity of the syllabus.

Thus, my teaching philosophy values the uniqueness of every individual, attaches crucial importance to self-learning within the context of a particular course, uses a combination of methods to grade student performance, and offers a positive, encouraging environment, thus helping students enhance their knowledge so that we can make this world a better place.
