I am a retired Associate Professor of Architectural Design from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, in Caracas, where I taught for 31 years. At the same time, I practice architecture for 48 years dedicated to the design and construction of private residences, research and health institutions mainly. For the las 17 years, the political and economic situation in Venezuela has turned out to be very difficult, indeed , therefore, we decided to move to the the US five years ago. Being a US citizen, I am living in Lawrence, KS, where I studied and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture, from the University of Kansas, in 1965. I also have a Master's degree from Cornell University, which I finished in 1980. I have a son who is working for his PhD in Civil Engineering at KU.
Relying upon my experience as a professor of architectural design, which is characterized by an intensive and personal relationship with students on a daily basis, for so many years; I am looking forward to meet students who wish to improve their knowledge in spanish, my native language, at any level. This improvement could be in grammar, speaking, writing and spanish literature.
At the same time, as I exposed before, I am an experienced Architectural Design Professor which could help students to overcome any difficult situation with their designs at the School of Architecture in campus.
