My unquenchable thirst for knowledge has turned me into a lifelong learner and fuels my passion for teaching. Nothing is more satisfying than helping someone master a topic they have struggled to learn. Although my focus is on helping new recruits for the Armed Services maximize their ASVAB score, I possess many talents and a wealth of knowledge which I love sharing with others.
As a member of the Army National Guard, I understand how stressful taking the ASVAB can be. This is why my tutoring involves more than teaching just the four core subjects of Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Arithmetic Reasoning and Mathematics Knowledge. In addition to working on these core competencies, I also provide the student with tools to derive the correct answer as well as test taking strategies.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Florida Institute of Technology with my B.S. in Computer Information Systems in 2012. I scored a 90 on my AFQT and had a line score of 124.
To ensure that students have a quiet and comfortable study space in which to work with me, I have an office located near K-61 and 4th Ave, where I teach private lessons. Home lessons can be arranged during evening hours if traveling to my office is not feasible. I try to be flexible with time and although I do have a 12-hour cancellation policy, I do offer make-up classes.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your studies! My unquenchable thirst for knowledge has turned me into a lifelong learner and fuels my passion for teaching. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
