About Russell

I have ten years full-time experience teaching geography, history, and social-studies education courses at the university level. My bachelor's degree is in geography from the University of Kansas, and I hold a master's and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in geography, with a distributed minor in history, economics, and sociology. I have worked as a coordinator of a social-studies education program for four years at the university level, mentoring student teachers and teaching coursework in social studies methods.
Previously, I served as a teaching assistant in physical geography and human geography during completion of my master's degree. I also worked two years as a K-12 tutor in social studies in the Lawrence, Kansas, public schools. I have a great deal of online teaching experience and am adept at providing real-time online instruction, lesson preparation and delivery, quick and accurate feedback, and improving subject matter mastery.

I have taught environmental conservation, physical geography, environmental geography, and guided physical geography laboratory work at the university level. I have taken undergraduate and graduate courses, all with "A's," in physical geology, physical geology lab, historical geology, natural hazards, physical geography, and non-equilibrium perspectives in physical science.

I have a Ph.D. in geography and have taught full-time ten years at the university level, incorporating all dimensions of the PSAT test areas in my coursework, grading, and mentorship of students and student teachers.
