Hi, my name is John, and I currently attend Purdue University where I am majoring in Aerospace Engineering. I have experience tutoring tennis and chess in the past. Subjects that I am passionate about include: Physics, Algebra, Chess, Tennis, and more.

As a student, I have taken everything from geometry to Linear Algebra. Most of these classes build upon what was taught in previous classes. As such, I have much experience with algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. I also received a 36 on the math section of the ACT.

I love math because, no matter how complex it is, if you take your time to understand a problem or concept, you can because math builds on itself. I always wanted to understand where my teachers and professors got their equations from, and there was always a proof for it that helped me understand conceptually what was going on which made it easier to learn. Teaching people to really understand the material instead of just memorizing an equation or procedure is what I love about tutoring math.
