Hi there! My name is Gordon and I graduated Magna Cum Laude from VCU with a major in Physics and minor in Mathematics. Ever since middle school I have always enjoyed and excelled in every math class I took. As a result, I was a natural "teacher" to friends and classmates whenever we would get together to study. I received a 5 in both the AP Calc and AP Physics exams. Fast forward to my undergrad years and I continued sharing my passion and knowledge of math and physics with friends and...

Fast forward to my undergrad years and I continued sharing my passion and knowledge of math and physics with friends and family who were struggling with those subjects. After that, I took some time off of school to travel and so I typically had a day job and tutored high school students to pay for that.

My method is typically a Q&A style or review of material recently covered in the student's class. I find the best way to get them to understand the class material and problems is to work through them together to see where any confusion arises. From there, we can trace it back to any missing information or topics in order to fill in the gaps and provide a deep level of understanding.

Throughout high school and my undergrad I informally tutored both friends and family on various math subjects and then after graduation I took on more formal tutoring sessions with high school students ranging from algebra to calculus. I have less formal tutoring experience for Physics but I do know the material very well and I often helped friends who were struggling with concepts.

I'm a very casual and patient person who loves to help people learn about and understand the subjects I myself enjoy: Math and Physics. If that sounds like it fits your needs for a tutor, feel free to reach out to me!
