About Daniel

Bio

At the age of 6, in kindergarten, I taught myself how to add and subtract in the backseat of my Dad's car. Ever since then my Dad continuously expresses to me how good I am at math. I think math comes easily to me, not so much because I am talented at it, but because I genuinely enjoy working with numbers. I have helped many of my high school and college peers understand the material that we would be tested on. I also used to tutor 9th grade AVID students on algebra 2, geometry, precalculus,...

I also used to tutor 9th grade AVID students on algebra 2, geometry, precalculus, and trigonometry concepts. While these students hated math, I patiently guided them to an understanding of the concepts through questions and examples.

I am a junior currently majoring in applied statistics and minoring in economics at Purdue University. My goal upon graduation is to work in the field of data analytics. I am passionate about big data and desire to learn more about how to interpret it.

In high school I scored a 720 on my SAT Math 2 subject test and a 740 on the math section of the SAT. As a second year Applied Statistics student at Purdue University, all of my curriculum is math heavy; I am currently taking a class on linear algebra. In this class I am learning how to prove concepts learned in Algebra 1, using matrices. Being in this class as well as taking advanced algebra 1 in middle school gives me the knowledge and understanding to teach this subject.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I have been an AVID tutor for Freshmen and Sophomores taking Algebra 1, Geometry, Precalculus, and Algebra 2. I earned 720/800 on my SAT Math 2 Subject Test.
