After 5 years of teaching in Chicago Public Schools I served churches for 25 years. I have retooled myself by retaking Math Physics, and Education classes in the university as a process for teacher certification. For many years I have been engaged in helping families and youth. I have raised four high achieving college masters plus degreed daughters. I hold B.S., M. Div., and Dr. Min. degrees. Plus 2 years work toward teacher certification which is still in process.
I know what it is to have to struggle to understand and am skilled in encouraging students by meeting them where they are and have personally achieved by perseverance when most would have long since given up. My goal is to help young people to be like minded and dedicated to their achievement. I love to teach and will give you good service.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have developed my own Bible Introduction Course based on the movement of God's people over the map of the Near East with the Theological questions which the texts answer. This course gives people a theme understanding of the books of the Bible.
Another approach is to develop understanding from themes: Such as covenant, hospitality, personalities or the lives of specific characters (David, Saul, Paul, Jesus, the prophets, etc.), love, suffering servant, names of God, familiar passages, Book by Book studies, Word Studies, etc.
