Bethel College (Communication)
I have 2 1/2 years of experience tutoring students at a variety of levels and in a variety of subjects. I love tutoring because it allows me to get to know my students' individual needs and create a personalized plan to help them succeed in whatever they do.
I'm passionate about tutoring because it 1) allows the student to learn the material in the way that is best for him/her and 2) helps increase the student's confidence in his/her own abilities as the tutor provides encouragement throughout the process. I love working with students of all ages and in all subjects and seeing them grow not only in their knowledge of the subject but also in their confidence.

I am good at taking grammatical concepts that most textbooks complicate and explaining them in simple, easy-to-understand ways. I'm also good at helping students learn tricks for remembering vocabulary and have created comprehensive exercises that help students with vocabulary and translation, grammar, and pronunciation.
I have two years of experience tutoring students in English and communication-related subjects ranging from grammar, spelling, and writing to public speaking. I am a senior at Bethel College, where I am majoring in Communication and minoring in Biblical Studies.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a senior at Bethel College in Mishawaka, IN, where I major in Communication and minor in Biblical Studies. I have pursued additional elective courses, including studies in Greek, to gain a deeper understanding of the Bible.
