In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have an Associates degree in Architectural Engineering, which was the basis for the drafting work leading up to my extensive work in AutoCAD. I have been using AutoCAD in a professional environment for over 20 years in various industries while working for architects, engineers, and contractors. I have trained many people in AutoCAD, both on my own and as part of my different jobs. I have kept up with the field by participating in frequent continuing education in classes and seminars.

I have been using Revit for the past six years. There are three "flavors" of Revit - Architecture, Structure, and MEP. I have the most experience with Revit Architecture and Structure, and I have used MEP. I have used Revit Architecture while working for an architect (1.5 years) and a contractor (2 years); I used Revit Structure in my work with structural engineering companies (2.5 years) which includes my present position as Senior 3D CAD Tech. All of these positions included daily use of Revit on the following projects types: commercial, industrial, bridges, agricultural, and residential. My Revit experience builds on over 20 years of CAD experience in several different fields. I also have wide experience in training students in Revit and CAD. I have an Associates Degree in Architectural Engineering from ITT Technical Institute. I am also pursuing a business degree with a concentration in Human Resources and Training.
