I am a Math Ph.D student with several years of tutoring experience. I think math is beautiful and am committed to helping students experience the joy of mathematical discovery for themselves! My approach to tutoring is the following:
- identifying what concepts a student is having difficulty with, trying to figure out exactly why, and then asking guided questions that nudge the student in a direction towards understanding.

- providing exercises and problems that synthesize all the concepts covered, in order to help students get a sense of mathematics as an interconnected web of ideas.
I am especially skilled in tutoring calculus, geometry, as well as undergraduate topics such as differential equations, linear algebra, probability, basic statistics, abstract algebra, real analysis, topology. I have been studying many of these subjects since high school, when I spent a great deal of time on the competition math circuit. Since then I have earned a B.A. with Honors in Math from the University of Chicago, where I took courses in standard undergraduate and graduate math topics.
Topics List: Calculus, Discrete Math, Geometry, Linear Algebra, Probability, Statistics, Real Analysis, Abstract Algebra, Topology (Differential and Algebraic), Number Theory
