More than 25 years after getting my Physiology PhD, I am still completely amazed by, and in awe of human body. I've loved my 25 years as an Anatomy and Physiology professor in British and American Universities because nothing gives me a greater buzz than working with people to help them understand these wonders too. More than 25 years after getting my Physiology PhD, I am still completely amazed by, and in awe of human body. I've loved my 25 years as an Anatomy and Physiology professor in British and American Universities because nothing gives me a greater buzz than working with people to help them understand these wonders too. For instance, what could be more rewarding than helping students understand the physiological processes that underpin our immune and respiratory systems so that they can then use those skills to get to grips with researching into or caring for, patients with, the Corona-19 virus?

I'm as passionate about helping a student with a D grade get to the C they need to progress to their next course as working with graduates prepping for their MCATs and my student evaluations show that (you can find me on Rate my Professor, under Rutgers university NJ), ultimately, the more science we as a society understand, the better :)

I have taught Physiology and Anatomy at the university level to students ranging from science majors to medical and dental students. I have taught classes of 425 students and tutored individual students. Teaching so many different students, everyone with different strengths and weaknesses, different personalities and science needs, has taught me that whilst the information to be explained might be the same, the method to do that needs to be as individual as each of my students. If we need to explore 5 different ways of tackling a topic until we find the one that work best for you, that’s what we’ll do because that lightbulb moment for you is the best part of my working life (and hopefully pretty satisfying for you too!)

I want to help you get to where you need to be in your human biology knowledge whether that be improving your AP Biology grade or improving your university GPA. And whilst we're doing that, hopefully I can help you be wowed by and love the bodies that we inhabit as much as I do. So get in touch, no pressure and no committment and tell me what you need and ask me

Biology

After completing my PhD (Physiology of the spinal cord) in 1993, I have taught Physiology, Anatomy and many other aspects of Biology at the University level. I have taught at Russel group universities in the UK (the British equivalent of the "Ivies") and since arriving in the US in 2007, have taught in higher education institutions as diverse as the private school, Quinnipiac university and the state university in NJ, Rutgers. My student evaluations are always excellent (you can find the Rutgers ones at "rate my professor") because I love people and love science so I have the perfect job :)
