Hello, My name is Alex. I am currently a graduate student seeking a Master of Science degree in Accounting. I have extensive knowledge of math in various subsections. I also am available to tutor in English, Law, Government Systems, Political Science, Writing (short story, fiction, non-fiction, etc), public speaking, and just about anything else related to the aforementioned topics.

I have tutored middle school and high school aged students. I am open to teaching students of any age.

My methods are not set in stone for tutoring. They may change depending on the need of the student. However, I do not limit the child in anyway. The goal for each student is to do the best they can. I was taught at an early age that you always strive for an A, but you still can be proud of a B. One must never strive for anything less. There is no such thing as "studying just enough to pass." If one prepares in this fashion, they often times find failure rather than success as a result.

I try to find out each student's level of learning at that moment. Then, I try to set up realistic goals based on their current status. I tend to initially explain to the student the basic rules or procedures in addressing their work. I then show them step by step details on how the answer can be reached. Ultimately, I have the student work on problems under my guidance with less guidance for each subsequent problem until they have a solid understanding of how to work most problems. Practicing on the most difficult problems tend to show the best results.
