I have recently taught and tutored Algebra, particularly in Grade 8. Math did not always come easy to me as a student; I know what it is like to struggle. Having experienced those overwhelmed feelings myself, I know how that they are beatable! Algebra is a clear, step-by-step process that comes together- and I know exactly how to provide the foundation for that to happen.
I regularly scored in the 97th, 98th, and 99th percentiles in my reading and writing skills on high school, college, and graduate school exams. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
