I have experience tutoring elementary school children in reading and also knowledge about methods that help individuals to learn the best at all stages of the lifespan. I take an active approach to learning, meaning that I believe students need to seek out the knowledge instead of expecting it to be given to them and I can help them along the way. I have a strong background with critical thinking skills as well that I can teach students so that they can continue to be successful throughout their academic careers. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am proficient in Bible Studies and have had high school and college level classes on the subject as well as attending church weekly.
