I have a huge passion for Spanish, and my favorite thing is working with people one-on-one who desire to excel in their Spanish skills. I had a fantastic high school Spanish teacher who had great learning tricks and methods to remembering a lot of the grammar rules. I excelled in high school Spanish for all four years, and then decided to go to Costa Rica and live for 9 months. In Costa Rica I had Spanish classes for 4 hours per day, and on the weekends I made friends with locals in our community. My Spanish skills continued to increase as I spoke with Costa Ricans and as I immersed myself in the culture. I was also involved in teaching other students from the States Spanish while living in Costa Rica in order to help them become more proficient in their Spanish. I am already fluent in Spanish, and I graduated from Binghamtom University- State University of New York with a bachelors degree in Spanish Language and Literature. During my time as a student, was a teaching assistant for several of my Spanish professors, so I am very comfortable working with students in areas where they need help. Please contact me so I can help you peruse your goal to learn Spanish!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I studied Spanish in middle school and high school and loved it! Learning Spanish grammar and vocab in high school gave me great ideas on how to teach Spanish to English speakers. After graduating from high school, I went to Costa Rica for 9 months to learn the language and learn about the culture. I am now fluent in Spanish. I came home and went to college at Binghamton University - State University of New York and graduated with a bachelors degree in Spanish Language and Literature. I was a teaching assistant for several of my college professors and held weekly office hours to tutor students. I am passionate about teaching this language and enjoy helping others!
