About Emily

I've always had a love for learning and passing knowledge on. For quite some time I was planning on being a high school math teacher before I decided my true calling is Psychology. However, I still greatly enjoy and respect teaching and tutoring. I have never officially tutored anyone except for my brother who I've helped with his homework since he was in kindergarten. Even though I don't have much experience in tutoring, I feel as though I'm qualified because I graduated high school with academic honors, and I've been placed on the Dean's List both semesters of my freshman year at Franklin College. I am very patient and mild-mannered. I am flexible on schedules and I want this tutoring experience to be at your convenience. I believe in the potential in everyone! Good luck!

I have taken every math class from Algebra 1 to Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry and I have never received a grade lower than an A- in any of the classes. In college so far I have taken Quantitative Reasoning and Statistics.

I would be a great reading tutor because I've been an above average reader since kindergarten. I have always had a love for reading and I took an AP English Literature class in high school where I learned better how to discover themes and symbolism within reading.

Spelling has always been a major part of my life because as an active reader, I was constantly seeing the correct spelling of words and have adopted that into my academic lifestyle.

In high school I took several accounting classes where Excel was the main program we used. However, I really learned all that Excel had to offer in my Quantitative Reasoning class at Franklin College. I am able to have Excel do the math for you, make tables, create graphs, and more.

I would love to help anyone who would like it at your convenience for a reasonable price. I am patient and am willing to put in as much time as necessary to help students better understand their academic area of interest!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
