Indiana University (IPFW) (Elementary Education)
Born and raised in Fort Wayne Indiana I am a 31 year old married man with 4 children. I am a graduate of IPFW here in town. I received my bachelors in Elementary Education in 2013, with a concentration in mathematics. Since then I have been working as a 5th grade teacher for Fort Wayne Community Schools.
Recently my wife and I had twins on March 14th 2016. We have decided that it would be best that I stay home and take care of our children. Tutoring allows me to continue to raise my children in the way that my wife and I have chosen. Thank you!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am currently a 5 year licensed practitioner for elementary education in the state of Indiana. I have been working directly with children as a 5th grade teacher for the past two years. I have maintained a "highly qualified" status with Fort Wayne Community schools. I possess all skills needed to enhance a student's skills with any subject within the elementary curriculum.
My qualifications for study skills are based in the fact I have been an everyday classroom teacher for the past 2 years. I am aware of strategies that work for increasing literacy skills as well as helping to master mathematical concepts. I can help teach your students skills that will help them to be more independent in any elementary field of study.
