INDIANA UNIVERSITY-PURDUE UNIVERSITY FORT WAYNE
Hey there. My name is Andrew, a music education student at IPFW in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
I've mentored many over the last couple of years, but am now becoming serious about my tutoring and educational goals and commitments. I've had over 9 years of experience in music, primarily performing on the tuba and low-brass instruments, but I am also a learned student in music theory, composition, and other skills many wouldn't teach such as techniques used for marching band.
My primary source of experience besides my 9 years of performing is that I had the honor to perform in one of the top Drum & Bugle Corps. in the world, the Phantom Regiment. I am a veteran member of the corps, and am a highly ranked performer and teacher of the techniques used in the corps. from breathing, playing, marching, and presence. This experience in, or on as it may seem, the field is coupled with connections and techniques with my own past instructor, Roger Rocco. Rocco was a performer in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra while he was in high school, and studied under Arnold Jacobs, one of the, if not the most, influential and successful tubist in the world. He has high accolades from teaching various schools and colleges including Vandercook College of Music.
I prefer a very personal experience in my approach to tutoring, making connections and references that will last a lifetime, if I were so lucky. My methods may seem to contradict what many modern music teachers may preach, but with a long history of success and triumph, I have found the style I use to be the most effective out there for near immediate success and strength.
I am greatly looking forward to hearing from you! Hey there. My name is Andrew, a music education student at IPFW in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
