I am a High school, middle school, and college Science teacher in the southern Indiana area with a passion for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. I tutor Students at any level in any subject within those three areas and tackle the hardest classes with passion and expertise. I particularly love all upper level Biology classes and am confident I can help with the most difficult classes as well as the basics.
My background includes a B.S. in Biology from Indiana University, and a M.S. in Plant Biology from the University of Illinois. During the 6 years I attended the University of Illinois I had the opportunity to participate in research in Plant Biochemistry for the USDA studying climate change and its effects on corn and soybeans.
I also worked as a tutor for ethnic minorities at that time and was very successful tutoring Biology and Chemistry to a diverse group of students with very unique backgrounds and challenges. I began teaching high school and college in 2009 and have taught at 2 colleges and 4 high schools in the intervening time. I have taught Human Biology, Plant Biology, Zoology, Integrated Chemistry and Physics, Introductory Biology, and Microbiology at both the college and high school levels.
I have tutored AP Chemistry and AP Biology as well as Physics and Environmental Science for students from the 10th to the 12th grade and I have tutored Algebra and Geometry as well. I have experience with middle school students through my teacher's training and some substitute teaching that I have done over the past few years. I thoroughly enjoy sharing my passion for science with students of all ages.
