I am an Honors graduate of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL. I have also taken classes towards my Masters Degree and will be finishing it up in the next year.
I have taught students for five years having most of my experience in the preschool and elementary level in a resource setting. I have worked with children with various needs including ADHD and Autism.
I love to help children learn. I help children understand the concepts they are learning by making the lesson as hands on and relatable to real life as possible. I coordinate their lesson with the way they learn best. In my Masters studies and work experience I have learned ways to help increase reading and grammar skills.
I became a teacher after my children began school. I realized that I had a passion for teaching as well as loving the students that I encountered while volunteering in my children's classes. I now have five of my own children, a grown child, a sophomore, a sixth grader, a third grader, and 9 month old. We love music, to garden, to explore, and to read fantasy books. I making learning fun. Contact me to schedule your lesson. I look forward to meeting you.
