Hi, I'm Shrithan! I'm currently a senior in high school and will enroll in college in the upcoming fall. I have been an academic Top Scholar (top 3% of GPA) every year in a class size of 1400+. As someone currently in high school, I seek to bring my experiences to help relate to students, as I endured many of the same issues that they may go through. As a tutor, I try to emulate the approach of my most impactful teachers by engaging in thoughtful discussions about topics while also going the extra mile by providing additional help whenever it is needed. Lessons involve the teaching of the material combined with practice exercises to solidify understanding and retention of the content. However, I always tailor my lesson specifically for each student, catering to their unique individual needs.
For the last four years I have been part of an organization providing one on one tutoring for children affected by homelessness. I have worked with students on a range of mathematical subjects such as elementary mathematics, algebra, geometry, and many more. At school, I am a part of the Peer Tutoring Program, helping students learn science subjects while also helping prepare them for standardized testing. As a peer tutor, I develop meaningful relationships with my students, helping to bring the best out of them. I love helping students and allowing them to find joy in learning, just as I do myself. Completion of AP science classes combined with college courses has led me to develop proficiency with these subjects, as students specifically ask for me as their peer tutor after our sessions. In regards to standardized testing, as someone who recently completed the process of preparing for these tests, I know what needs to be done and how to achieve a certain score at each level.
