About Angela

I believe tutoring support and learning can and should be FUN! My students look forward to our sessions instead of dreading the extra time spent on school tasks.

I am a licensed educator with 20+ years of experience working with students from PK - adult. Specialized training and skills working with students struggling with reading, phonemic awareness, reading comprehension, spelling, math word problems, vocabulary, and reading fluency. Extensive training in Lindamood-Bell Seeing Stars and Visualizing and Verbalizing programs and Orton Gillingham programs. My reading and comprehension tutoring addresses the underlying sensory cognitive processing areas that are keeping students from acquiring much needed reading skills.

Reading and reading comprehension is pervasive and creates difficulties for students in every subject matter. The earlier a child is able to begin reading intervention, the smaller the gap between expected skills in the classroom and your child's ability. Please feel free to contact me for more direct information on how I can help your child develop the needed reading fluency and comprehension skills to be successful and build self esteem.

I am a licensed school counselor and school psychologist. I have 20 years of experience at Park Tudor School and various public schools in Indiana. As the former Center Director for Lindamood-Bell, I have worked with hundreds of students experiencing difficulties with reading fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.

I look forward to helping your child build the necessary skills and applying them to their classroom curriculum!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
