My first five years I taught in a seventh and eighth grade setting where I was the only math teacher in the school. For the next twenty-nine years I worked in a much larger school and my classes were varied. I taught advanced level Algebra and Geometry and moved into a ninth grade setting. After retirement from the public schools I taught a remedial math course at a local university for three years.
I love math and my students have been infected with that love. I specialize in "decoding" math terminology. It's a foreign language until you learn to speak it! I also specialize in breaking down math story problems so that anyone can learn to do them.
