I did a fair amount of tutoring as an undergraduate student to help my peers succeed in math and science courses. Since being at IU, I have had the opportunity to be an associate instructor for five semesters in four different biochemistry and biology courses. I have observed accomplished teachers in their classrooms and learned effective studying and learning techniques from them.

I excelled in math since high school, taking up to Calculus 1 and 2 in my undergraduate studies for my major. I have always enjoyed algebra and find it very rewarding to help algebra students learn about such an important mathematics discipline.

I am obtaining my PhD in Biochemistry at Indiana University. I have taken extensive courses in biology, biochemistry and chemistry over the course of my undergraduate and graduate careers. In my research as a PhD student I use cutting edge tools in each of these fields to better understand fundamental questions we have in biochemistry and biology. I have also been an associate instructor for a number of biochemistry and biology courses during my time at IU.

I love learning about math and the biological sciences and I want to help you succeed in your studies in those fields. Please don't hesitate to contact me about any tutoring or academic help that you may need in these subjects.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I have taken a lot of math classes in high school and my undergraduate studies, up through Calculus II. I spent about 2 years in college as an algebra tutor for students who struggled particularly with math, including Algebra 1. Additionally, working in a Biochemistry lab requires daily use and application of algebra to make accurate calculations for experiments.

Chemistry

Through obtaining my Bachelor's in Biochemistry, I had to take many Chemistry classes as well. I was a Chemistry tutor for 2-3 years in my undergraduate years, assisting many people in their various Chemistry courses. Although I ultimately chose Biochemistry to study, I was interested in and performed well in all of the undergraduate Chemistry courses I took.
