About Jesse

Bio

Hello, My name is Jesse. I have graduated with a Masters' degree in Chemistry and a Bachelor's in Biology. I have used this science background to launch a Youtube channel and Facebook page where I strive to show how science impacts everyone at the local level. Along with this hobby, I have decided to focus each semester on a different field. For this Spring Semester, I am focusing on the TEAS, specifically biology, chemistry, math, and anatomy and physiology.

Biology,

Biology

I have completed several upper undergraduate level courses. I have instructed an introductory level Biology course at Indiana University. I have an article detailing the biochemical aspects of Autism published on a well-known Biochemistry website.
Chemistry,

Chemistry

As a graduate of a Masters program in Chemistry, I have published a thesis and participated in several peer-reviewed journals. I have also instructed nearly every undergraduate level at my alma mater. With students struggling with the concepts, I used multiple explanations to find one that the student understands. As this is true of all students, I take this same approach to tutoring.
Prealgebra,

Prealgebra

As Pre-Algebra is the basis of the sciences, I have had extensive experience using these concepts in higher level college classes and teaching these concepts to freshman students.
Algebra 1, Algebra 2, English, Geometry, Physics, Precalculus

Math

ACT Math,

ACT Math

As I hold a Bachelors in Biology and Masters in Chemistry, I have used the concepts in the math section of the ACT extensively throughout my Academic years. For this reason, I am confident I can tutor in ACT Math.
Prealgebra,

Prealgebra

As Pre-Algebra is the basis of the sciences, I have had extensive experience using these concepts in higher level college classes and teaching these concepts to freshman students.
Trigonometry,

Trigonometry

I have over four years experience teaching undergraduate laboratories and tutoring students in math. To me, to be successful in Trigonometry, students have to master the Trig identities and be able to use these problems. My approach is to guide students in mastering this concept.

As I have a Bachelors in Biology and Masters in Chemistry, I routinely used the concepts from the ACT Science portion as the basis of my scientific career. I have lead discussions on data interpretation with high school students. I have instructed Introductory levels of biology and chemistry laboratories and have guided students in understanding the science concepts.
Anatomy,

Anatomy

Having graduated with a Master in Chemistry and a Bachelors in Biology, I have taken several courses over Anatomy and Physiology and have developed a thorough understanding of the molecular mechanisms of the human body.
