I spent a year as a graduate assistant in the tutoring center at ISU while pursuing my master's degree there in counseling. Tutoring is a form of counseling so I felt like my training there complimented my work in the center nicely. I tutored a range of students in various subjects including graduate level test preparation.
Bottom line is that I love tutoring because I love helping people. I truly believe that there is no greater religion than human service. I look forward to working with you!
Though I eventually pursued business as my subject of undergraduate study, I come from a family of physicians who I have to thank for my strong math and science skills. I was valedictorian of my high school class, scoring a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam which enabled me to test out of all of my college math requirements. I was blessed with outstanding math teachers along the way who were able to easily relate difficult concepts to real world applications. I in turn teach in a similar fashion that has produced great results for my tutoring students.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
